Kelly

Certified Yoga Instructor | Women’s Retreat Guide | Healing Facilitator

Hi, I’m Kelly Lowery — a certified yoga instructor, Community Health Worker (CHW), and founder of Yoga Mind Over Matter, a heart-centered wellness brand based in the hills of Appalachian Ohio.

My own healing journey — including chronic illness, life-altering surgeries, and a profound personal transformation — has led me to this work. I believe in meeting people exactly where they are and honoring the unique paths we all walk toward wholeness. Wellness, to me, isn’t one-size-fits-all — it’s about reconnecting with your body, your breath, and your truth.

I’m certified through the Ohio Board of Nursing as a Community Health Worker and work hands-on in my region providing compassionate support, health education, and wellness guidance. I’m trained in addiction awareness, mental health support, and food-as-medicine education, and I bring both professional knowledge and lived experience to every space I serve.

As a yoga instructor, I specialize in gentle, beginner-friendly, and accessible practices — including chair yoga, mindful movement, and breathwork. In 2024, I had the honor of facilitating a chair yoga session for the Community Health Worker Conference in Ohio, and just recently I volunteered to lead a class for individuals with limb loss — a deeply moving and humbling experience.

Through Yoga Mind Over Matter, I also lead seasonal women’s retreats in Hocking Hills that offer a nourishing space for rest, reflection, and renewal. These retreats include slow-moving yoga, guided journaling, nature-based practices, and wholesome meals that support gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian lifestyles. Each gathering is created with intention — to help women release what no longer serves them, ground deeply into self-love, and reconnect with their own inner rhythm.

Whether we meet in class, at a retreat, or in a one-on-one setting, my goal is simple: to help you feel seen, supported, and safe in your own body — no matter where you’re starting from.

With warmth and gratitude,
Kelly Lowery
